Terms & Conditions 

1. Professional Standards of Practice

1.1 The psychotherapist is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is obligated to adhere to an array of standards pertaining to conduct, values, and ethics to sustain their practicing registration. 2. Confidentiality

2.1 The psychotherapist shall uphold the principles of confidentiality and will not disclose information to any third party except when legally obligated. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, situations involving self-harm, harm to others, child protection concerns, or unlawful activities.

2.2 The psychotherapist will ensure that all personal information is securely maintained and is registered as a data controller with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/.

2.3 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is a comprehensive regulation designed to enhance and standardise data protection across the EU. This regulation seeks to protect the fundamental rights of individuals regarding privacy and the security of personal data. CP Therapy is in full compliance with GDPR. 2.4 The psychotherapist shall disclose information to a third party only upon the client's request and with the client's consent. This disclosure shall typically be in the form of a letter or report. If there is specific information that should not be disclosed, this must be clearly communicated prior to the drafting of the report. The psychotherapist will generally draft reports in collaboration with the client to ensure transparency and honesty throughout the therapeutic process.

3. Fees 

3.1 If you are personally responsible for the payment of services, the payment for each consultation must be made at the time of booking through the automated booking system.

3.2 You may be held financially responsible for the payment of cancelled appointments or any failure to attend without providing prior notice.

 

4. Cancellations or Late Attendance

4.1 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will incur a charge at the full rate.

4.2 Any failure to attend an appointment without notice will be charged at the full rate.

4.3 Your psychotherapist will wait 10 to 15 minutes for your arrival. If there is no communication regarding a late arrival within this time frame, the session will be discontinued, and the full session rate will be charged.

5. Out of Session Contact 

5.1 Your psychotherapist can receive email communication with additional information. However, reviewing the content of such documents will incur the agreed hourly fee, which will be added to your next invoice. Phone calls will also incur the agreed hourly fee.

5.2 The psychotherapist does not provide a crisis service. If you require urgent assistance, please contact your General Practitioner (GP) or emergency services.

5.3 The psychotherapist will endeavour to return calls and emails within two working days, except during periods of annual leave or ill health.

6. Anti-Discrimination Policy

The psychotherapist is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful environment for all clients. Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to discrimination based on sexual preference or orientation, mental health status, political or religious beliefs, age, gender, or ethnicity, will not be tolerated. The psychotherapist upholds the principles of equality and fairness in all interactions and services, ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect.

7. Health & Safety Policy

The psychotherapist will exercise the utmost care and due diligence when working with clients, whether in online sessions via Zoom or in clinic-based settings. Recording of sessions is strictly prohibited without explicit permission. All applicable regulations and safety protocols pertaining to the building and organisation will be strictly adhered to.

8. Complaints Policy

We strive to ensure that you are satisfied with the services provided by CP Therapy. However, if you have any concerns, please submit them in writing to your psychotherapist at your earliest convenience, addressed to the Director, Ceri Parry. Alternatively, you may file a complaint through the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as detailed in the initial sections of this document.
